姬陵全称为“泰吉·玛哈尔陵”，又译泰姬玛哈，是印度知名度最高的古迹之一，在今印度距新德里200多公里外的北方邦的阿格拉城内，亚穆纳河右侧。是莫卧儿王朝第5代皇帝沙贾汗为了纪念他已故皇后阿姬曼·奴而建立的陵墓，
被誉为“完美建筑”。
它于1632年破土动工，汇聚了来自欧洲、伊朗、中国和印度等艺术家心血和两万名工匠的辛苦，耗竭了国库，历经22年修建完成。其工艺之精细、色彩之华丽，可谓巧夺天工，无与伦比。她由殿堂、钟楼、尖塔、水池等构成，全部用白色大理石建筑，用玻璃、玛瑙镶嵌，绚丽夺目、美丽无比。有极高的艺术价值。是伊斯兰古典建筑中的代表作，誉为“理石的梦境”“人间建筑的奇迹”。2007年7月7日，成为世界新七大奇迹之一。

Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world, and some Western historians have noted that its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals, the Muslim rulers of lndia. The Taj Mahal (also”the Taj”) is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Turkish, lndian, and lslamic architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was cited as ”the jewel of Muslim art in lndia and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage. While the white domed marble and tile mausoleum is most familiar, Taj Mahal is an integrated symmetric complex of structures that was completed around 1648. Ustad Ahmad Lahauri is generally considered to be the principal designer of the Taj Mahal.
